Job Description

I’m recruiting a Business Development Manager into an expanding global team for my client who is a global leader in digital radio devices and solutions. This position is focused on LATAM and you will be responsible for selling to end user customers in commercial sectors like oil & gas, utilities, transportation as well as to government.

You will have a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets through channel partners and you’ll also be developing a sales plan to expand and grow sales through new and existing channel partners across the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sales targets of the assigned LATAM Sales territory
  • Engage with channel partners and end users on a solution selling basis.
  • Respond to tenders and requests for information from partners and end users.
  • Manage channel conflict to ensure margins are met by protecting the value proposition
  • Plan business cases for new services and features for the existing products to enhance customer retention and customer loyalty.
  • Engage with key stake holders in new verticals and sectors to grow market share in the critical communications market across the region.
  • Plan trade shows and conference speaker slots to promote the company, brand and technology.

    This job involves extensive travelling. It is anticipated that around 50% of the time will be spent travelling regionally in LATAM so air travel will be frequent, but you should also be able to drive and own a car.


    Key Requirements

  • Proven track record of increasing revenue and meeting set sales targets in business development in a radio or telecoms devices or solutions.
  • High level customer engagement skills. Able to reach out to all seniority levels in organisations
  • Ideally experience in both commercial and government sales.
  • Proven ability to engage in the end user environment with diverse customer needs
  • Ability to present to high level management on sales strategies and initiatives
  • Outgoing and approachable manner.
  • Available for local and international travel
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • Confident public speaker and presenter.
  • Fluent or business proficient in Portuguese, Spanish and English

The position will be based in Brazil, working from home when not traveling and reporting to the Regional Director.
