Job Description

I’m currently searching for a Business Development Manager for the Benelux Region for my client, who is a global leader in digital radio solutions for critical communications. 

We are looking for someone who is ideally located in Belgium, although we are also open to consider applicants from The Netherlands or Luxembourg, who have a good understanding of the business culture in the region and are business proficient or fluent in English, as well as fluency in Dutch and/or French.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who puts the customer first. Flexible with a can-do attitude, who wants to make a positive difference for customers.

  • Maintain existing business as well as develop and grow the business in the region Benelux, including Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg with new commercial broadband solutions.
  • Develop relationships with existing distributors and partners, as well as explore potential new routes to market to address new market segments or verticals.
  • Engage with end customers together with local partners to keep a direct touch on the business and make efficient lobbying in the market and the industry.
  •  Identify, qualify and develop value propositions drive sales.
  •  Develop strong Account Plans together with stakeholders that will generate growth.
  •  Identify and share customer strategies with relevant product managers to ensure product development is aligned to changing customer needs.
  •  Ensure that solutions are fully scoped with robust pre- and post-sales engagement and commitment from solutions engineering, pricing and operational teams.
  •  Leverage internal tools (e.g. AX) by building and managing your sales pipeline.
  •  Negotiate business opportunities and tenders
  • Represent the company at trade show and other marketing events

Skills & Experience:

  • An inspirational sales professional with a proven track record in building customer relationships and achieving sales targets within the critical communications sector.
  • Used to selling tech products with ideally an understanding of the telecom business and the public sector.
  • Strategic mindset, ability to identify and win new business opportunities in the critical communications sector 
  • Excellent stakeholder management, able to set clear direction, priorities, and focus, as well as network, motivate others and build lasting partnerships including at senior levels of the organization.
  • Influencing and persuasive selling skills.
  • Great autonomy and self-discipline.
  • Solution-orientation, customer focus and accountability.
  • Excellent networking and presentation skills, self-driven and proactive.
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in the region.
  • This is a work from home position, so location is flexible preferably in Belgium.

The position reports to the European Sales Director and comes with an attractive salary, commission and car allowance.
