UK Security & Compliance Manager, Critical Communications. London

We are seeking a Security Manager to join our client who is a highly reputable organisation specialising in Mission Critical Communications based in London.

The successful candidate will provide governance, assurance, risk management and security oversight across internal teams, suppliers and customer environments, ensuring compliance with UK national security standards and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact with government
• Develop and implement a security plan, ensuring all the necessary compliances are met including ISO/IEC 27001:2022
• Carry out all audit activities, including internal audits as well as suppliers to ensure all are fully complaint with security requirements
• Lead all security accreditation initiatives
• Manage the risk mitigation process and should a breach occur, carry out root cause analyses
• Initiate and deliver security training

Skills & Experience Sought

• A proven track record of delivering security plans, cyber security governance in a highly regulated environment such as government and/or mission critical communications
• Experience of delivering ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification and national security governance
• Ability to manage detail methodically and highly analytical ensuring compliance with contractual security obligations
• You'll need to be certified in information security with either a CISM, CSSP, or be highly conversant as an auditor of ISO 27001
• You should ideally have experience working with the UK Government's Home Office and be Security Cleared, or able to be Security Cleared.
