System and Networks Administrator
Job Summary
Based in either our London or Reading office, the System and Networks Administrator will support global IT infrastructure, including cloud deployments. This hands-on role covers IT support, network administration, and security management to ensure optimal system performance. Occasional travel to Japan, the US, and other offices may be required.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & User Management
Network & Infrastructure

Maintain, upgrade, and monitor on-premises and cloud networks.

Configure and manage VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls.
Security & Compliance

Ensure systems meet Cyber Essentials and internal security standards.

Maintain documentation, asset registers, and IT procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Certifications: CCNP or JNCIP; RHCE; Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security.

Experience: 3+ years in a similar role, ideally in ISP or telecom environments.

Strong background in Linux server administration (on-prem and cloud), including RHEL, OpenShift, VMware, and Azure.

Proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and open-source tools such as FRR.

Skilled in VPN, VLAN, firewall configuration, and network monitoring.

Experience deploying services such as LDAP, DNS, SFTP, and Mail on Linux/Windows.

Competent with scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible) and intrusion detection tools.

Solid troubleshooting across routing, switching, and storage management (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, LVM, XFS).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong stakeholder engagement in fast-paced environments.

Expertise in IP routing, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.

Skilled in installation, configuration, patching, and system hardening.
Desirable

Azure, AWS, or GCP certification.

Cybersecurity or ISO27001 training.

Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ElasticSearch, and authentication (AD, LDAP).
