My client is a highly innovative global company that’s well established in critical communications. With a start-up culture and a focus on engineering excellence, they’re a leader in wireless communications technologies and mission-critical solutions and they’re seeking a skilled and collaborative Software Developer to contribute to the development of secure, high-performance systems for government and public safety clients.

Job Summary
This hands-on role focuses on developing and maintaining mission-critical software for public safety communications. Working with DevOps, QA, and Architecture teams, you’ll build robust, scalable, and secure systems. Experience with Motorola DCS and CADI interfaces is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software components for mission-critical systems.

  • Integrate with third-party systems including Motorola DCS and CADI interfaces.

  • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams for reliable deployment and testing.

  • Participate in code reviews and architecture planning.

  • Ensure performance, security, and compliance standards are met.

  • Troubleshoot issues across the software stack and drive continuous improvement.

 

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3+ years in software development, ideally in mission-critical environments.

  • Proficient in C++, Java, or Python.

  • Experience with Motorola DCS/CADI or similar systems.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, VoIP – SIP/RTP).

  • Familiarity with Linux and virtualization tools.

  • Knowledge of version control and CI/CD best practices.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience with public safety protocols (MC-PTT, P25, TETRA, 3GPP).

  • Exposure to secure or government systems (Home Office, MoD).

  • Understanding of embedded and real-time systems.
