Overview

I'm searching for a 'hand-on' player-manager for my client, who is a global leader in critical communication control room solutions. You'll take responsibility for delivering APAC revenue and order intake targets through direct and channel sales. Combines personal ownership of strategic deals with leadership of a small sales and pre-sales team. The focus is on scalable partner-led growth, strong sales execution, CRM discipline, pipeline quality and forecast accuracy.

Core Purpose

Drive predictable revenue growth across APAC through a balanced direct and channel strategy while building a disciplined, accountable sales culture.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Sales Execution

  • Deliver APAC revenue and order intake targets aligned to company goals

  • Build and maintain strong qualified pipeline coverage

  • Improve conversion rates through disciplined opportunity management

  • Drive focus on deal quality, margin and commercial outcomes

  • Execute the APAC sales plan across direct and partner channels

  • Prioritise high-value markets, accounts and opportunities

Player-Manager Responsibilities

  • Personally lead and close strategic, high-value opportunities

  • Manage complex sales cycles directly and with partners

  • Build senior customer and stakeholder relationships

  • Lead major bids, negotiations and commercial engagements

Channel & Partner Strategy

  • Develop and execute a structured APAC channel strategy

  • Recruit, enable and manage strategic partners

  • Increase partner contribution to pipeline, revenue and order intake

  • Establish clear partner engagement models and joint account plans

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop a small sales and pre-sales team

  • Set clear expectations for targets, activity and performance

  • Drive accountability and build capability as the region grows

CRM, Forecasting & Operations

  • Enforce accurate CRM usage across teams and partners

  • Ensure opportunities are qualified and tracked through defined stages

  • Deliver accurate forecasts and clear revenue visibility

  • Run structured pipeline reviews and use CRM insights to identify risks and opportunities

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Collaborate with product, marketing and delivery teams to support growth

  • Build strong customer and partner relationships across APAC

  • Identify opportunities within public safety and critical communications

  • Position the full portfolio of command, control and integrated communication solutions

Experience & Skills

  • Proven success delivering revenue and order intake targets in APAC

  • Strong background in both direct and channel sales models

  • Experience in complex, high-value sales environments

  • Demonstrated ability to improve sales execution and CRM discipline

  • Strong commercial, negotiation and executive communication skills

  • Skilled in pipeline management, forecasting and partner development

Background

  • Degree or equivalent experience in telecommunications, radiocommunications, IT or related field

  • Significant experience selling complex communications or command-and-control solutions

Other

  • Willingness to travel across APAC

  • Ability to operate effectively across diverse markets and cultures

  • You will need to be based in Australia
