Job Description

My client is a global telecom access/edge of networks vendor with tier 1 service providers, power utilities and transportation customers. They are at the forefront of pioneering technologies such as Distributed NFV, hardware-miniaturization and timing synchronization over packet-switched networks.  

For service providers, power utilities and transportation vertical markets, their Service Assured Networking solutions include best-of-breed tools for high security and mission-critical communications, mobility, and seamless migration to modern packet-switched networks and applications. 

A Sales Director position has arisen in South Korea to help further develop the business in primarily in Korea, but may well have extended international sales responsibilities, depending on the candidate:-

Position Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed revenue objectives
  • Prospect and develop Service Provider customers in Korea, namely SKT, KT and LGU+, as well as Critical Infrastructure (Utility, government, transportation) opportunities.
  • Prospect and hunt for new opportunities – both directly and via sales channels
  • Promote the company’s products and solutions within the assigned region
  • Develop sales strategy to identify and pursue opportunities
  • Document sales calls and opportunities
  • Provide detailed customer feedback for product planning purposes


  • Must have a proven track record of selling telecommunication products and solutions (Carrier Ethernet, TDM technologies) to Service Providers
  • Must possess “hunting” capabilities for new account generation
  • Established industry contacts with a good reputation
  • Consistent top performance within previous sales positions
  • Technical understanding of the telecom networking space
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or extensive demonstrated experience; MBA a plus
  • Must be passionate about sales and have an entrepreneurial ability to execute a business plan
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver against aggressive goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Possess integrity, self-motivation, and professionalism to collaborate well with others
