My client is a global leader who enables enterprises, governments and service providers to strengthen network security and ensure optimal performance with real-time visibility and control—delivered through their powerful platform built on scalable deep packet inspection technology.

We're searching for an experienced, dynamic Sales Account Manager for my client who will have responsibility for achieving sales quota across the DACH region selling to large enterprise accounts. The successful applicant will report into the Regional Director and work as part of broader team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in both Service Assurance and Network Security, with the flexibility to sell confidently across both areas.

A solid understanding of the sales cycle and the ability to work collaboratively with the Sales Team is essential.  This role will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

The successful candidate will control all accounts directly even if the business is booked through channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting you sales target for the DACH Region, developing existing accounts and winning new business
  • Understand the customer’s business and how network security and network performance products and solutions will impact businesses in the large enterprise sector (10k employees or more).
  • Develops strong customer relationships, guiding and nurturing management in the accounts, so they become confident and knowledgeable of the appropriate solutions
  • Consistently develops connections in complex, large enterprise accounts at multiple levels high and wide
  • Works collaboratively with Sales Engineers to ensure ongoing account technical support.
  • Follows company strategy and direction
  • Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelines
  • Regular travel within the DACH region as and when the business requires it
  • Candidate will ideally be located in Germany - this position is to work from home with regular business travel.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 + years sales experience in networking and/or network security
  • 5+ years’ experience in IT
  • A quantifiable track record of sales success in the DACH region 
  • A good understanding of networking technology and the market
  • A proven track record of sales success with enterprise accounts, preferably including banking and financial services
  • Established customers and contacts, and solid territory knowledge
  • You will need the skill to work independently with large, complex accounts
  • Ability to source, pursue and close new business
  • Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related, but not essential

Whilst the perfect candidate will have experience selling network security and network performance/visibility solutions, my client appreciate's most people with have an expertise in one or the other, so training can be provided.
